The Loredo Hand Care Institute in Dallas Fort Worth offers our patients the most advanced surgical technology available. Below are some of the state of the art surgical tools and techniques available:
THE ENDOSCOPIC RELEASE SYSTEM
The Endoscopic Release System is a highly advanced technology which provides access to the carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel through one very small incision. The procedure requires no stitches and provides instantaneous relief from pain for most patients.
Additional advantages of using the minimally-invasive Endoscopic Release System include:
- A 98% surgery success rate
- Minimal scarring
- Same-day use of the hand(s)
- Better visualization of the hand anatomy
- Comfort knowing you are benefitting from the safest and most advanced technology available
THE TFCC FAST FIX SYSTEM
Additional advantages of using the minimally-invasive TFCC Fast Fix include:
- Fast and easy-to-use system
- Strong and secure repair
- No counter incision, which minimizes repair and recovery time
- No knot stack, which eliminates irritation
- One-handed, 360° active deployment delivers fast and easy implant deployment from any hand position
THE TENEX FAST PROCEDURE
Due to the minimally-invasive nature of this procedure, plus no stitches or general anesthesia, there is minimal downtime and less discomfort as compared to traditional open surgery.
MINI TIGHTROPE® CMC TECHNIQUE
If a patient is suffering from Thumb Basilar Arthritis, Dr. Loredo may recommend surgery on the affected joint using the Mini TightRope® CMC Technique. Using the Mini TightRope® CMC Technique, the trapezial bone is removed and the thumb metacarpal is suspended using two strands of FiberWire, allowing for capsular healing, hematoma, and scar tissue formation in the trapezial space. This space may also be filled with a graft or artificial spacer. This technique is further illustrated in this video.
A.M. SURGICAL CPX - SURGICAL CROSS PINNING FIXATOR DEVICE
The CPX is a small external fixator which is used to treat distal radius fractures, a common bone fracture of the radius in the forearm. The CPX surgery is minimally invasive and does not cross the wrist joint giving patients the ability to move their wrist throughout the entire healing process. The CPX device is typically removed in 5 to 6 weeks.
Additional advantages of using the A.M. Surgical CPX include:
- Small, lightweight device - the CPX is smaller than a standard Sharpie marker and is available in lightweight carbon fiber or titanium
- Variable angle pin placement
- Minimally invasive technique resulting in minimal scarring
- Same-day use of the hand(s)
